2010 Victorian Arabian Championships  ~ Supreme Champion Derivative Mare

Owned & bred by Jan & Melissa Grieves of Akora Stud, Fine Art  was also awarded Champion Anglo Arabian Mare & Champion Amateur Owner Led Derivative Mare.

Fine Art is a granddaughter of Deveron Duvall, being by the Duvall son, Penmarric Picasso.

Akora Fine Art was also successful at the 2010 Goulburn Valley Arabian Championships, taking out Supreme Champion Derivative Exhibit.

At the NSW Arabian State Titles held in September, 2010 Christine Donnelly's, Deveron Maggdalena showed great form by winning lst Arabian Warmblood Filly 2 & 3 yrs and Junior Champion Arabian Warmblood Filly

Maggdalena's previous wins include:

  • 2010 East Coast Arabian Championships ~ Reserve Champion Arabian Warmblood Yearling Filly
  • 2010 Australian Arabian Championships ~ Reserve Champion Arabian Warmblood Yearling C/F/G

2010 Arabian Gala Event   -  AMERICAN JUDGE - GEORGE Z SAYS 10 OUT OF 10 FOR DEVERON DI ANGELO

"Magnificent" was the judges comment after awarding Di Angelo Champion Arabian Warmblood Exhibit against strong competition at the Arabian Gala Event.   Mr Z then went on to say to owner Pam Farragher that Di Angelo was a 10 out of 10!

Angelo had a wonderful start to his ridden career, by winning Ridden Derivative Newcomer ~ Maiden Ridden Derivative ~ Novice Ridden Derivative ~ Reserve Champion Novice Ridden Derivative.

Tracey Hotker and the yearling Arabian Warmblood gelding, Deveron Maggistrate had a great start to their show career when they attended two shows held recently in the West.

In July they competed at the SPPHAWA 2010 FOAL & YOUNGSTOCK SHOW for the following major results:

~ Champion Warmblood 1 yr and under  ~ Champion Arabian Warmblood/Anglo 1 yr and under ~ Supreme Arabian Warmblood/Anglo Exhibit ~ Runner Up Best Yearling of Show (16 Yearlings) ~ Top 5 Supreme of Supreme of Show (26 Supremes)

At the DILUTES AUST LTD WA WINTERAMA Maggistrate was awarded :

Owner, Karen Spencer of Jimboomba, Qld sends news of her special girl, Danita. 

Danita and Karen have had a great start to the year, winning 3 of their dressage tests, with scores up to 75.55% and placing very highly in the others.  Karen is especially proud also in winning their second ever Elementary test.

LUSH KS
Gymnastic Star  x  Deveron Airs N Graces (Exp NZ)

One of New Zealand's most successful yearlings, Lush KS has been sold to Australian interests.  Cornelia Fischer of Starlite Lodge, Melbourne, is the filly's new owner.

Bred by Kelaray Stud, NZ, Lush KS is by the Warmblood stallion Gymnastic Star from the very successful show mare, Deveron Airs N Graces, who is now proving to be a superb broodmare for Kelaray Stud.

Grace is in foal this year to the Anglo Arabian stallion, Burrendah The Wizard.

Owner Jamie Portman is impressed with how Joshua has taken to eventing.

Starting out in the baby grades just recently, Joshua is now competing at Level 3.  Jamie has found him to be super athletic and very keen, although a little spooky to start he is becoming more confident at each competition.

Joshua is one of Di Maggio's first foals, the other being the super trainable, Avella Di Marcello.

Uncle Angelo, as he is affectionately named by his owners Pam and John Farragher of NSW, returned to the show ring in winning style at the 2009 National Arabian Sud Horse Show in Sydney.

Angelo  was awarded Senior Champion Arabian Warmblood Exhibit & Runner-up Supreme Champion Deriv Exhibit.

Angelo has had a hugely successful show career with many Champions and Supremes to his credit at the highest level, including Champion of Champions at the 2007 East Coast Champs and Runner Up 2008 Champion of Champions East Coast, Aust Champion Arabian Warmblood 2 & 3 years and the list goes on.

We have heard that the trophy cabinet at the Farraghers is full to over flowing with Angelo's sucesses!

Well done to the Farragher Team and the very beautiful (and he knows it!) Angelo.

CONGRATULATIONS to Sascha and La Bamba in gaining sponsorship from well known horsewoman and horse herbalist, Victoria Ferguson and Herbal Horse.

La Bamba was featured in an advertisement in Horse Deals in Dec, 2009.

Footnote:  Victoria over the years has helped myself and my horses in relation to numerous health problems, even to the point of saving the lives of a number of them.

Victoria is a wealth of knowledge and I have recommended many friends and clients to her when they have been in need of help with their horses.

DEVERON LA BAMBA

Deveron La Bamba scooped the pool at the recent 2009 Perth Royal Show. La Bamba and owner, Sascha Dowson left no stone unturned when the competed at their first ever Royal.

Not content with winning Champion Arabian Deriv Gelding, they went on to to be sashed Supreme Champion Arabian Deriv. To cap off their successes, they also took out Champion Ridden Deriv.

CONGRATULATIONS many times over to Sascha and La Bamba who is a full brother to our very own Di Maggio.

2009 Queensland Festival of Dressage

Belcata Danita is shown at right on the photo.

Danita possesses the most amazing temperament and it is a credit to her owner to bring this impressive 17hh mare to the level of training required to  participate in such precision riding.

Danita is sired by the Anglo Arabian stallion Deveron Duvall and out of the Northern Congress mare, Northern Crystal.

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO KAREN SPENCER AND HER VERY SPECIAL MARE WHO TOOK PART IN THE QUADRILLE.

"Felix", as he is affectionately known to his owners, Melissa and Paul Robertson-Dixon, showed great maturity for his years, when he competed in the 5yo Young Dressage Horse Competition at Dressage With The Stars 2009 earlier this year.

From only 3 ever outings Felix qualified to compete at DWTS.

His temperament and trainability showed thru on the day and his manners and training were a credit to his devoted owner and rider Melissa Robertson-Dixon, with the wonderful support of husband,  Paul.

Shantoozie did her owners, Kellie and Cameron James 3of Lailarni Stud proud, at her debut under saddle at 3the Pan Pacific Show.

The 4yo had barely 5 weeks in training to place 2nd in her Novice and Newcomer classes with rider Rebecca Lovett and then took youth rider, Brooke Skennerton to Top 5 in the Youth Gold Nugget event.

Toozie was also awarded Reserve Champion Arabian Warmblood Exhibit behind the Champion Meridian Poseidon who is by Poetry in Motion out of the Duvall daughter, Deveron Annakova (full sister to Di Maggio)

A few weeks later Toozie fronted up at the Q'ld Challenge and as can be seen from the photos, she will be a force to contend with in the near future.

Placing highly in hotly contested classes, this young lady took everything in her stride placing 2nd in her Novice and 3rd in Intermediate, plus other placing u.s.

Again Reserve Champion Led this time to the fabulous Lush,  showing that you can be a successful halter horse as well as a competitive saddle horse.

Many congratulations to owner/breeders Kellie and Cameron James and also to Toozie's dedicated rider, Rebecca Lovett.

At her first show, the Arabian Warmblood yearling filly, Deveron Maggnolia took out Supreme Champion Arabian Warmblood Exhibit at the 2009 Arabian Feature Show under Brazilian judge, Luiz Rocco.

She was shown to her success by Simon Parker.

DEVERON MANNEQUIN

Owned by Annalee Surinow of Victoria, this photo of Mannequin earned her two lst places in the recently held Warrumbungle Online Foal Photo Competition.

She placed 1st in the Arabian Warmblood section and 1st in the Warmblood Filly section and missing out on Top 5 foal by one place from the hundreds of foals entered.  There were 6 judges, of which 2 were International, who both placed Mannequin very highly, scoring her a 9 and a 10.

Last year, another Di Maggio foal, Sunnyhurst Da Vinci went Top 5 foal in the same online foal competition.

MONSVIEW MISS MONROE

"Nelly", as she is affectionately known to her owner Elisa Surinow is Di Maggio's first palomino foal. 
She was bred by Monsview Stud from the mare Monsview Montanna.

This yearling filly has been very successful around the shows this season,  many congratulations to
Elisa on their wins and also the superb presentation of her.

Di Maggio's first foal, Avella Di Marcello competed in the 5 yo Young Horse competition.

Although not in the placings this time, it was wonderful that Felix qualified, this being only his 4th competition.

Congratulations to Paul and Melissa Robertson-Dixon on breeding such a superb youngster, from the mare AEA Lesca, by Di Maggio.

They have brought Felix on beautifully, as can be seen from the photos.  All going well he will make his debut in the dressage arena
in early 2009.

Paul and Melissa are also starting Felix's full sister Lace whom they also bred.

Results from Felix's first competition in January, 2009

Melissa was rapt with his temperament and performance.  Her comments were that he was a STAR, he didn't put a foot wrong all day.

She also commented that he was spectacular and with scores like 8 +for Paces, 8 for Submissiveness, 8 for Rider Position, this is proof +of his wonderful temperament and with the combined ability of both horse and rider hopefully there are great things to come.
The yearling colt Sunnyhurst Da Vinci (owned by Jessica Bertram and Lynda Smith attended his first 2 shows for the following results:

DEVERON AIRS N GRACES

Congratulations to owner Kelly Mason of Kelaray Stud, NZ, with the continuing
success of her Anglo Arabian mare, Deveron Airs N Graces.

Grace had had 2 foals prior to Kelly obtaining her, and is back in foal again to the Warmblood stallion, Gymnastik Star.

With her usual aplomb, Grace returned to the showring in great style, taking out Champion Mare and Supreme Led Derivative at the A class Northland All Arabian Show in Jan 08.

In Feb 08, Grace headed for the NZ National Titles for the following results:

  • Top 5 Led Derivative Mare (3rd)
  • 1st Novice Derivative Ridden
  • Top 5 Deriv Open Mare under Saddle
  • Top 5 Deriv Paced & Mannered

A wonderful effort, as this was Graces' second show under saddle, and she was also 5 months in foal at the time.  An amazing lady, with an amazing nature.

Impeccably presented by Kelly and her team, a great result all round, well done Kelly!
